| "LEAPING CARP" The scale and detail
of this piece is hard to imagine - standing
almost 120cm high (almost 4 feet). Designed
and forged entirely by Dominic Hesp, this exquisite,
intricate work is shown as an interior sculpture.
The five beautifully formed carp, beaten from
raw metal have a surreal, almost magical quality
and wonderful line. The piece can be converted
into a stunning water feature, with water cascading
down the fish. P.O.A. back to top |

Inspired by fields of wheat at harvest time,
Dominic designed and made these elaborate vehicle
gates for a celebrity client. Taking hundreds
of hours to complete, the extraordinary skill
required to transform stock lengths steel into
such a graceful design is achieved by very few
metal smiths. Superb fine detailing and fluent
curves mark this piece as exceptional. These
and other original vehicle gates are available
through Legion. All can be automated. back to top |

are beaten to these exact shapes by eye - the
fine detail is breathtaking. back to top |

| Gates of various intricacy (and
cost) can be designed and made to order. These
and other gate designs can be used as main entrance
gates or for smaller areas within the garden.
All gates can be with or without frames and
railings. All can be automated. back to top |

| "BEYOND THE GARDEN GATE" A Trompe
l'oeil (trick of the eye) created to stretch
the view of a garden beyond it's boundary. Employing
"false perspective" this cameo piece forms a
complete picture which could be applied effectively
in many of today's smaller gardens. Hand made
gates provide a strong foreground, making a
framework for the painted image behind. Plants
decorate the scene, changing with the seasons
- a composition combining Dominic Hesp's organic
style of hand-forged metal with Fiona Stephenson's
design skills. The trompe l'oeil painting can
be provided as seen or designed specifically
for the setting. back to top |
